Welcome To Year One's Class Page!
In Year One Miss Barker is our teacher and Mrs Ford is our teaching assistant.
We are in our last term in Year 1, the time is flying by!
We have all grown up so much and made so much progress over the last 2 terms and out teacher is so proud of us. We can all now write independently and our Maths work is fantastic. Of course we still do like to enjoy a little bit of choosing time and now that the weather is much nicer to can sometimes have a quick game of football outside or some extra time on the equipment......... if we work really hard to grow our brains!
In Year One we have written our own class rules. We've made a promise to Miss Barker, by painting and printing our hands that we will....
Listen carefully to everyone.
Sit nicely on the carpet.
Put our hands up when we want to talk.
Line up carefully and quietly.
Use kind words, kind hands and kind feet.
Share with our friends.
Look after our classroom.
TRY OUR BEST EVERYDAY!

We will will also learn about what a plant needs to be able to grow strong and healthy.
In Maths we will continue our learning all about multiplication ans division. We will also look at doubles and halves of numbers. Also, so we don't forget some of the skills we have already learned we will revisit previous learning about place value!

P.E. kits must be in school everyday and should consist of a white round neck t-shirt, black shorts and plimsolls. For outdoors P.E. children will also need trainers and for colder days a tracksuit.
Earrings MUST be removed on P.E. days and long hair should be tied back.
Please sign up for Class Dojo as I will use this a lot to keep you informed of the goings on in Year One! Dojo is a quick and easy way for us to keep in contact. However please do not send messages to me throughout the day as it is unlikely I will see them. If you need to get a message to me, for example some one different will be collecting your child, please contact the school office.
