Two Village Scarecrow Festival Information

Two Village

Scarecrow Festival

On Sunday 27th September, Two Village Primary School will be holding their first annual Scarecrow Festival.

Children from Two Village will be invited to make their own scarecrows to be entered into a school competition ,as well as making class scarecrows. The scarecrows will be displayed in the school grounds on Sunday 27th September.  Members of the public are welcome to view the scarecrows between  11.00 am and 3.00 pm—social distancing will be in place. The winning   pupil will receive a prize.

We would also like to involve the whole community in our event so are inviting anyone who lives in  Little Oakley or Ramsey to make their own scarecrow which can also be entered into a separate competition, with the chance to win a mixed food box which has kindly been donated by Holt Farm in Great Oakley.

All scarecrows should be based on a traditional story theme. Completed scarecrows should be displayed in front gardens/outside houses around the villages so that they can be judged by our panel of judges, who will travel through the villages on a set route, on Sunday 27th September. Entry cost—£2.50 per scarecrow.

If you are not a pupil from Two Village Primary School and would like to enter the competition, please complete an entry form, available by email from Two Village Primary School—  Entry forms will also be available to download on our school website—  Payment can be sent into school with  entry forms, in a labelled envelope, with pupils from Two Village or can be delivered in a designated box in the school entrance. If you are delivering your entry form and payment to the school site yourself, we would kindly ask you to avoid  doing so between 8.30 am—9.00 am and between 2.30 pm and 3.30 pm. If you have any questions, please feel free to email or phone the school on 01255 880268.

Funds raised from the Scarecrow Festival will be used to support the development of outdoor learning for the pupils of Two Village

We look forward to seeing lots of fantastic entries.
